35 Weeks!

Okay, so in my first post I totally made sure to say that I'm REALLY BAD at keeping up with things like this! It has definitely been proven now that I'm updating 11 weeks later! Oh well...

So, today I am officially 35 weeks pregnant. I feel huge, my back hurts, my tailbone hurts, my hip hurts...everything hurts! I've been having some Braxton Hicks Contractions, but nothing regular, and it's gotten better now that I'm not working any more. Now I'm just patiently (or not so patiently) awaiting the day that I go into labor! I have a doctor's appointment next Friday, and then after that I'll be going every week until I deliver! I'm really hoping that they will check to see if I am dilated...and that I will be...Lol. They'll also do a Group B Strep screening at this next appointment... =\

Since my last post I've had two baby showers - one given by my three fabulous aunts on my Mom's side of the family, and one given by the wonderful ladies at my church! We've gotten a lot of stuff for our little girl Makenna (especially clothes), but still have a few essentials to buy. I'm having my last baby shower on May 8th, at my wonderful Mother-in-law's house =)

Also since the last post, I accepted a supply job at Herschel Jones Middle School. It took so much out of me - but I finished that up on April 1st! I'm not working in schools anymore until next year. And today I found out that I passed the GACE in Special Education! Hopefully this will open some doors for me next year so that I may get a full-time position.

We got a 3d ultrasound done at 28 weeks, and this past weekend the wonderful JoLynn Mahan came over and took maternity photos for us! So, hopefully we now have enough to put in Makenna's first scrapbook and baby book.

Right now I'm just focusing on getting the house cleaned and organized, along with getting everything packed and ready for the hospital! There really is a lot for me to do right now. I also have taken on a few extra things at church - like helping out on the tech team, now that I'm not singing in the worship band anymore until after the baby is born. John and I are also heading up graphics and any PowerPoint that goes up on the big screen on Sundays. This week I'm filming a sort of testimony from 8 different people who will be baptised this Sunday! Plus, I'm still in charge of the worship band - like getting music and musicians together - I'm just not going to be on stage again for a few weeks.

My sister leaves for Romania at the end of next week, and will be gone for 3 weeks! I hope that Makenna can hold out until she gets back. I really want Caitlin to be one of the first people to see her little niece!

Well, that's it for now I guess. I'll try to update this thing as big events happen. It's funny to look back and see all of my pregnancy complaints months ago...they only get worse as the pregnancy progresses! It's also cool to see how much I've grown in the past 9 months!
